I didn't know Pfc De Tamle but would like to let his family know that they are being prayed for on a prayer chain link.
Thank you so very much for this man and the ultimate sacrifice he gave so we can live in freedom.
I continue to pray for the families strength and comfort.
Signed, Grateful, Sgt Stevenson's mother
Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of horrible sadness. Your son was brave and filled with immeasurable heroism. He was a hero for us all.
i'm sgt greg torricellas' cousin. from our families to yours know our prayers and thought are with you. greg was on a plane home for leave when this happened and is very upset not to be there with his brothers during this time of pain. god be with you in your time of sorrow
I remember when DeTample joined Alpha company and thinking "Man this kid cant be more than 13 yrs old!" He was quiet and sincere. He made up for his Babyface with his professionalisim and discipline that emcompases a model soldier. It is Such a shame that person so young who has a whole life ahead of him passes on like this, but we must not forget, that although he was only 19yrs old, he was a mature man who paid the ultimate sacrifice as a soldier. It has been an honor serving with you DeTample. your are sadly missed but never forgotten.
I have two sons; one is 21, the other 20. They walk this land freely due to the sweat and sacrifice of soldiers like DaTample. My son-in-law is in the 101st and in theater right now. God bless you all and the sweet family and friends of this young soldier. He wrestled with evil men and must have given a good fight.
I have the up most respect for DeTample. I still think about the soldiers from the 1-111th. I worked with them daily. God bless your family. Your family is still in our prayers.
