Thank you to the families of these heros who died so we can live in freedom.
We are praying for the families for continued strength and comfort.
Grateful, Sgt Stevenson's mother
our prayers and thoughts are with the family our son is serving in behji
he often talked of spc pelligrini and how he was thinking of be a police officer so he could continue there freindship
Your family is in our thoughts and prayers. Our son, Sgt. Kevin Metz, served with Gennaro and spoke very highly of his good character. Kevin said he was an amazing boxer, but even better soldier. We will continue to pray for you.
YOUR FAMILY IS IN MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS,I DID NOT HAVE THE PLEASURE OF MEETING CPL GENNARO PELLIGRINI.BUT DURING A RECENT TRIP TO HERSHEY PARK WITH FRANKIE I HEARD MANY STORIES OF HOW FRANKIE LOVED HIM AND HOW FRANKIE LOOKED UP TO HIM.GOD BLESS YOUR FAMILY
"Punchy" I knew you for almost 8 years and it has and always will be an honor to serve with you. You were always a Professional Soldier. Your Tenacious attitude will be missed.
Gerry will be sorely missed. A great guy and a excellent friend, Thank you for being such a good friend to Frankie. He loved you. You are a true hero. Rest in peace. My sincere apoligies to the Pelligrini family on the loss of such a life, at such a young age.
I was lucky enough to be Gennaro's angel. Now he will forever be my angel, and my hero as well. I would love to get an address so that I and other angels can send cards and letters too!
I keep your family and loved ones in my prayers everyday Gennaro. I was also lucky enough to be your angel, and I was writing you a letter the day I got the call informing me of what had happened. I finally finished it today, took a while but i did it :) Thank you and all the others for your service to this country and all of your sacrifices never go unnoticed or unappreciated. We will love you always and forever keep all the troops still fighting in our prayers, as well as all the families and loved ones of our fallen heroes.
I was honored enough to be in charge of your Color Guard at your funeral. I thank you for the honor of laying to rest a real HERO. We are so greatful for the safety that your help to bring to all of us in our nice warm houses and at our nice desks in front of our own computers. THANK YOU AGAIN!
"Punchy", you were one hell of a friend and comrade. I am glad we met in A Co. and became friends. You always had that goofy grin on your face, and you said some hilarious stuff. You were a stand up guy, a loyal friend, a damn good cop and a brave soldier. You ARE truly missed! Rest in Peace, and know your memory lives in our hearts and minds.
Punchy was a Cpl, not a Spc.

Pelligrini was the type of soldier you could trust would cover your ass.
He too was a person of good character.
We were in different platoons, so we didn't get to hang-out together too often, but I valued our friendship nonetheless.
He will be remembered with fond memories.
"Character is like a tree and reputation like its shadow. The shadow is what we think of it; the tree is the real thing. "
