Hope everyone is having a good summer! I know HOT IS HOT! We are dealing with HOT AND HUMID! Which isn't all that great either. But remember it won't be too much longer and our soldiers will be HOME!!! HOOOAH!!
For those of you that are new! Hello and Welcome! We have started an online Family and Support Group, where we have exchanged our Email Addresses and Screen Names (IM & YAHOO!) We really have gotten together a very nice group of people. We chat with one another and laugh with one another and cry with one another and share our soldier stories....The best part of the group you can usually find someone online that you know and wants to talk to someone too that understands. We also have what we affectioniately call her "Birthday Babe" (Jill) she keeps everyone updated as to birthdays and special events...We also have a News Letter which is usually always entertaining and has lots of good info. To all of you that have already joined with us..I am so sorry I haven't been keeping this updated. I have been a bit sick and have finally found out that I needed some surgery. So now its done and I do feel a lot better each day. I do have to say gall stones are nasty fellows!!
So if anyone has any NEWS please let me or any one of the gals I mentioned before know ,if you need a contact I will also try and help you there. Maybe we will be able to put some R & R stories in our News Letter next time.
I have finally spoken with Sgt.Mark Kubicek, so now I do have the info for the Care Package drive. For those of you that do not know, Sgt.Mark has started a care package drive here and where donations can be dropped off and will be packaged and sent to our soldiers at Summerall. My church has been collecting items for the past 2 months. I just took a truck load up to Mark, he is very excited to see all of the items that our soldiers need. He also has a list of items they need. And of course if any of you have a list or know of items they need please contact me and I will get the info to Mark and get a list for our news letter.
For now thats all I have, or at least all I can think of to say. Please have a good summer,keep praying for our soldiers, prayers are very good things. If I can be of some help to you please contact me. Take care and God Bless
