HI, I just want to thank the "Rakkasans" for putting their lives on the line for all of us.You inspire me, and fill me with pride. Our son is home on R&R, and I am so proud of him and his entire "Rakkasan" family. Thank you...God's speed
I just want to remind you that there are people everywhere praying for you each day. Like all mothers, I want my son (child) home safe and soon. My son has not had his R&R yet, but I can't wait to see his smiling face and give him a great big hug. Thank you for all you're doing. Keep the faith, those of you that have placed your faith in God and join us as we pray for those that don't have the same hope we do.
Here's a shout out to all the Rakkasan's who kept the Bulldog Store up and running...haha....I miss seeing you guys daily and wrestling up those BDS's as one of the soldiers would call them. I hope this finds you well and safe! I'll have the store open when you guys get back!!
Thank you for all you guys do, and for the sacrafices you've made day in and day out. You guys are the greatest!!
Be Safe!
To my husband, I love you with every being of my soul. I am so proud to stand by you for the rest of our time and to walk every step you walk and take every risk you take. To love you forever just doesn't seem long enough!
All my heart...always...
Be Safe!!!!!
My Dearest Husband, I pray for your safety every moment of the day and still that doesn't seem to be enough. Always remember that you are in my heart and on my mind all the time. I can't wait to see you in April and hold my arms around you! Take care of yourself! Much Love Always, Your Hunny Bunny!
To My Nealy Baby,
Not a day goes by here at home in our everyday busy schedules that we don't think about you. We all miss you, especially I miss those great hugs and kisses. Stay safe and Be Strong and come home safe and soon! We all love you! Love Your Baby Girl
To My Trix,
There is so much that my heart wants to say, but my mind says no. One thing that I have to say is that you are so loved and missed beyond any words can ever express. I pray for continuous safety for you and all the soldiers and that time will pass by quickly till your return home. I am so proud and appreciative of all our soldiers sacrafices and want to give you a BIG HUG and a THANKS. Son, I love you and I'm waiting for that day. May GOD's Blessings & Protection be upon all of you.
All of you Rakkasans make me proud to be a human being (and an American)! You are the bravest, most honorable, giving people that we, as humans, have to offer the world. Thank you all!!! God bless you and continue to take good care of yourselves!!! All my love to my very best...Matt, I'm so proud of you!
Just wanted to share something to the ones I'm most proud of....
Keep Living by Heather Wagner
They always seem to show a woman standing at a gate clinging to her children as her husband walks away. When duty calls he’ll do what he’s gotta do. and even though I don’t get paid, I serve my country too.
Because I know he’s where he needs to be. I know he always thinks of me. and yeah, I know the stars he sees are the stars I see each night. Until the day he makes it home I’ll take care of things on my own. When he’s
here he’ll be glad to see that we just kept living .
With pride and dedication I take the wheel when I’m on my own. By the time I reach the driveway those first
tears need to be gone. I get the lunches packed, pay bills, and cut the lawn, and then I toss and turn and tell
myself get some sleep before the break of dawn.
Because I know he’s where he needs to be. I know he always thinks of me. and yeah, I know the stars he sees
are the stars I see each night. Until the day he makes it home I’ll take care of things on my own. When he’s
here he’ll be glad to see that we just kept living .
I don’t deny the river that I’ve cried or the pleading that goes on in my prayers each night
I know you’re where you need to be. I know you always think of me. Yeah I know the stars you see , are the
stars I see each night. But baby till you make it home know that I’m okay and not alone. I’m as strong as I
will ever be, and we’ll just keep living.
I’m as proud of you as I can be. Just keep living.
You guys are doing a great job. I was in your exact shoes 5 months ago on the same base. We have to do what we do for the men we have lost. Stay safe and keep your head down but eyes open.

I lost my first love and dearest friend, Frances Joseph Straub, on August 9, 2005. I miss him terribly everyday! I pray for the safe return of every soldier currently serving in Iraq. While Frank was serving in Beji, I prayed the following prayer for him, and all the other soldiers, several times each day. I continue to pray for you and your families.
A Prayer for Angels
I prayed for angels to guard you night and day.
I prayed they would hover and keep harm away.
If you hear the swish of wings,
or feel a gentle touch,
I know God heard my prayer today,
and loves you very much.
Thanks to all of you for your bravery and service!
God Bless You!
Can't wait until all my brothers come back. This is SGT Kenneth "Butterbean" McBean here saying hello to all my comrades. I got out myself but will never forget any of you at all. While doing our left seat- right seat orintation on 24 Oct 05 I was badly wounded and with the quick reactions of everyone there, there were no American deaths. Everything was a little fuzzy for me after the bomb went off and I don't remember the names of the Medic, Driver or Gunner of the truck that got me back to the FOB, but if you are reading this, I can't thank you enough and for everyone there you are all in my thoughts and prayers. If any of you ever need anything at all please dont hesitate asking me at ( c.leigh.ross@us.army.mil )
