He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord,"He is my refuge and my fortress,my God ,in whom I trust.
Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence.
He will cover you with his feathers , and under His wings you will find refuge;
His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day,nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,nor the plague that destroys at midday......
Here is another Prayer,I like alot
I ask the Lord to bless you, as I prayed for you today. To guide you and protect you,as you go along your way. His Love is always with you, His promises are true, and when we give Him all our cares,We know He'll see us through. So when the road you're traveling on Seems difficult at best, Just remember I'm here praying and God will do the rest. Amen

Thank you for posting that beautiful prayer. Sometimes it is hard to find all the right words when you need them the most. I know that the Spirit of the Lord is protecting our son. We have prayed a lot of covering over him and the many others that are serving this great nation. What do families do that don't have the peace of God in their lives?

When I posted my first comment regarding this prayer I had no idea the FOB where my son was staying had been bombed with 3 mortars the day before and my son's best friend had been killed. I had sent my son a copy of this same prayer before that happened and he said he would read it everyday. God's word is true. He picked my son up from where he was standing and put him in a place of safety before the mortars hit. I thank the Lord for protecting my son as His word promised. We continue to pray for the families that have lost their loved ones in this war. When it hits home, it's hard to understand the fact that God knew before they went who would return and why. No one has all the answers but God. Keep looking to Him for your strength. He will be there.

By the way, today was my son's "22" birthday. I sure did miss celebrating another special occasion with him but it won't be long and he'll be back home. We'll all have a lot of catching up to do. I do believe the Lord is protecting my son to bring him back home to fulfill his real purpose in life and that is to preach God's word. Sometimes we get sidetracked in our walk with God but he knows right where we took that detour and he is patiently waiting on us during that time until we are back where He wants us. God is faithful!!
